Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced E-commerce Fulfillment Senior Manager to lead high-volume D2C (small-parcel) and B2B fulfillment operations. This role combines hands-on leadership on the warehouse floor with ownership of planning, reporting, and cross-functional coordination. You’ll drive operational excellence, scale teams through peak demand, and lead continuous improvement across the operation.

Success in this role requires knowing when to be on the floor driving execution and when to step back to analyze performance, lead planning, and improve the operation.

This role has full ownership of fulfillment operations, including labor, inventory, systems, and performance.

What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)

  • Consistently hitting or exceeding KPIs for throughput, accuracy, and on-time shipping
  • Improving labor efficiency and reducing cost per order
  • Successfully scaling operations through peak season
  • Building a strong leadership bench across shifts
  • Driving measurable process improvements

Why This Role is Different

  • True ownership – Full responsibility for fulfillment, performance, and systems
  • Direct impact – Your decisions affect cost, customer experience, and growth
  • Scale and complexity – Lead both D2C small-parcel and B2B operations
  • Operate within EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) – Clear priorities, measurable scorecards, and accountability
  • Continuous improvement culture – Expected to drive change, not maintain status quo
  • Fast-moving environment – Less bureaucracy, more execution

Compensation

  • Base salary: $90,000 – $110,000
  • Performance-based incentives include quarterly and annual payouts tied to KPIs of $100,000 – $130,000+.
Compensation:

$100,000 - $130,000

Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily D2C (small-parcel) and B2B fulfillment across a 32,000 sq. ft. facility and offsite storage
  • Manage and scale a fulfillment team, growing to ~120 employees during peak season, including seasonal hiring and 24/7 peak operations
  • Drive continuous improvement to increase throughput and reduce costs (Lean/Six Sigma or similar)
  • Own WMS and warehouse technology, including reporting, integrations, and vendor coordination
  • Own complete inventory control, including inbound receiving, cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis of variances, and shrink reduction initiatives
  • Ensure real-time inventory accuracy in WMS and drive alignment between physical and system inventory
  • Establish and manage KPIs (productivity, accuracy, on-time shipping, cost)
  • Hire, develop, and lead fulfillment staff and frontline leaders
  • Optimize pick/pack, slotting, replenishment, and bulk handling processes
  • Manage relationships with carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS), LTL/FTL partners, 3PLs, and vendors
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives across labor, shipping, and operations
  • Resolve operational, system, and vendor issues to maintain and improve service levels

Qualifications:

Must-Have Experience

  • 5+ years in ecommerce or warehouse fulfillment (D2C small-parcel and B2B)
  • Strong WMS experience, including ownership or deep hands-on optimization and reporting
  • 4+ years managing teams of 40+ employees
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end inventory control, including inbound receiving, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution in a high-volume fulfillment environment
  • Proven success in high-volume, multi-shift, peak-season environments
  • Advanced Excel and strong systems proficiency
  • Data-driven with strong analytical and process optimization skills
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of developing teams and driving accountability
  • Demonstrated ownership of operational performance, including accountability for KPIs, cost, and team outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Nice to Have

  • Experience implementing a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Experience developing, negotiating, and managing vendor and carrier agreements
  • Background in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
