Account Operations Manager

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, customer success, and diagnostic implementation, supporting the adoption of advanced molecular testing solutions across diverse clinical environments. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless onboarding, workflow integration, and ongoing optimization of diagnostic services within healthcare institutions. The position requires strong clinical fluency and operational expertise to translate complex healthcare needs into scalable, efficient solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, medical, technical, and customer operations to deliver a consistent and high-quality customer experience. This is a customer-facing role where your work directly impacts adoption, usability, and the success of critical clinical tools.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead customer onboarding by designing and implementing tailored diagnostic workflows aligned with each institution’s clinical and operational needs.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions to support go-live readiness and ensure effective adoption of diagnostic solutions.
  • Provide clinical and operational support related to hematologic disease, specimen handling, and MRD testing workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment across account activities.
  • Support EMR/EHR integration efforts and work with technical teams to optimize digital diagnostic workflows.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between customers and internal functions, ensuring feedback is captured and translated into actionable improvements.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and provide insights to support operational strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to customer education efforts, promoting adoption of new tools and support offerings.
  • Assist in cross-functional initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Support training and mentoring of new team members to strengthen team capabilities and consistency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of experience, or Master’s degree plus 5+ years in healthcare operations, diagnostics, customer success, or account management.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare systems, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems, LIS platforms, or similar healthcare infrastructure tools.
  • Background in diagnostic, biotech, or regulated healthcare environments is highly preferred.
  • Ability to navigate complex healthcare organizations including academic, community, and integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both clinical and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on operational excellence and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to cross-functional teams.
