Business Systems Analyst Leader

This role combines hands-on business systems expertise with team leadership, focusing on the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications and business intelligence solutions. You will lead a team of analysts responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business needs, and translating them into scalable system enhancements that support core business operations. Operating in a highly collaborative environment, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across product, operations, and technology teams to ensure systems effectively support business strategy and performance. The position requires strong analytical thinking, deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to bridge technical solutions with operational needs. You will also play a key role in ensuring system quality through testing, validation, and issue resolution. In addition to technical leadership, you will be responsible for mentoring team members and driving execution against project goals and timelines. This is a high-impact role that directly influences system efficiency, data quality, and business decision-making.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of business systems analysts responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving business applications and processes.
  • Oversee the collection and documentation of business requirements, translating them into functional and technical system specifications.
  • Design, implement, and support business intelligence and application solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and system requirements for new and existing platforms.
  • Develop and enforce processes, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent and reliable system performance.
  • Conduct system testing, quality assurance, and validation to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues while improving integrations and interfaces across platforms.
  • Manage team performance, resource allocation, and delivery timelines to ensure project milestones and budgets are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing technical or analytical teams.
  • Strong background in business systems analysis, application design, and implementation.
  • Solid understanding of business intelligence concepts, data modeling, and relational database systems.
  • Experience working with system testing, QA processes, and requirement validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex system environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Experience in insurance or financial systems environments is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams through complex projects with minimal supervision.
