Forklift Operator
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator in Canada.
This role is essential to ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will operate forklifts and other power equipment to support receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. The position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting logistics flow, and ensuring timely product handling. You will work closely with inventory control, shipping teams, and supervisors to keep warehouse operations running smoothly. Safety, precision, and attention to detail are critical in this hands-on operational role. The environment is structured, team-oriented, and focused on maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Accountabilities:- Operate forklifts and other power equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare items for shipment according to order specifications.
- Support inventory control processes, including proper product placement and cycle counting activities.
- Update and maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform daily equipment safety checks, including battery handling and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain organized warehouse spaces by ensuring proper pallet placement and stock rotation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Follow corporate health, safety, and quality procedures, including ISO-related guidelines where applicable.
- Communicate operational issues or concerns to supervisors or team leads in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
- Forklift operation experience required.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently and heavier loads in team-lift situations.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in physically demanding conditions, including working at heights when required.
- Hourly pay rate of $23.50.
