About Aspirion

At Aspirion, our mission is simple and meaningful: to help healthcare providers get paid accurately, quickly, and transparently for the care they deliver. By combining deep human expertise with advanced technology and AI, we are helping make healthcare more affordable and accessible for everyone.

For more than two decades, Aspirion has been a market leader in revenue cycle services, specializing in some of the most complex and high impact areas of reimbursement. From challenging denials and zero balance reviews to aged accounts receivable, motor vehicle accident claims, workers’ compensation, Veterans Affairs, and out of state Medicaid, we take on the work that others cannot solve and deliver real results for our clients. At the heart of that success is our team. Our teammates are the foundation of everything we do. With more than 1,400 individuals across the organization, we are united by a shared commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes and creating meaningful impact for the hospitals and health systems we serve.

We are building a results driven environment where high performance, collaboration, and continuous growth are expected and supported. The people who thrive here bring a growth mindset, stay open to new technology, and collaborate across teams to solve problems. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a talented and driven team, engage with innovative technology, and play a direct role in solving complex challenges that matter.

Joining Aspirion means more than taking a job. It means being part of a team that is shaping the future of healthcare operations while making a measurable difference for providers and patients alike.

About the role

The Principal, Business Transformation (Operations Excellence Analyst) is a senior-most individual contributor within the Business Transformation organization, responsible for leading complex, high-impact operational excellence initiatives across the enterprise.

This role operates as a hands-on execution leader, driving end-to-end process optimization, throughput improvement, and operating model transformation. Unlike manager or director roles, the Principal Analyst does not have direct people management responsibilities, but is expected to own outcomes, influence cross-functional partners, and lead initiatives through expertise and execution.

The Principal Operations Excellence Analyst serves as a critical extension of Operations leadership, ensuring transformation initiatives are operationally grounded, data-driven, and deliver measurable, sustained results.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence Leadership (Enterprise Scope)

  • Lead high-impact operational excellence initiatives focused on:
  • Throughput acceleration
  • Cycle time reduction
  • Productivity optimization
  • Quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Diagnose current-state workflows to identify bottlenecks, waste, and variability.
  • Design and implement future-state workflows that are standardized, scalable, and automation-ready.
  • Own delivery of measurable outcomes, not just recommendations.

End-to-End Initiative Ownership

  • Independently lead complex transformation initiatives across core operational domains (e.g., denials, complex claims, payment variance, appeals, and backend RCM workflows).
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable plans and deliver tangible results.
  • Coordinate across Business Transformation, Operations, Product, AI, Engineering, Data, and PMO/TPMO partners.
  • Proactively surface risks, tradeoffs, and decision points to leadership.

Cross-Functional Influence & Partnership

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to Operations leadership on workflow design and execution decisions.
  • Influence Product, AI, and Engineering teams to ensure solutions are operationally viable and scalable.
  • Serve as an execution lead in cross-functional forums without relying on positional authority.

Process Standardization & Governance

  • Develop standardized operating procedures, playbooks, and execution frameworks.
  • Define guardrails and governance models to sustain improvements post-implementation.
  • Ensure ownership transitions smoothly from transformation to steady-state Operations.
  • Maintain and regularly update process and workflow documentation to reflect ongoing changes and ensure accuracy.

Data-Driven Performance Measurement

  • Define and track KPIs that measure operational health and transformation impact.
  • Use data to validate outcomes, identify course corrections, and prioritize investments.
  • Partner with Analytics and Ops Insights teams to reinforce fact-based decision making.

Change Enablement & Adoption

  • Embed change management best practices into all initiatives.
  • Ensure workflows, tools, and process changes are adopted and sustained.
  • Reinforce continuous improvement mindset across partnered teams.
Requirements:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in:
  • Operational excellence
  • Business transformation
  • Process optimization
  • Operations leadership or consulting
  • Proven experience driving enterprise-level initiatives with measurable results.
  • Strong executive communication and influence skills.
  • Ability to lead complex work independently without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, payer operations, or complex services environments.
  • Background in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar improvement methodologies.
  • Experience operationalizing technology, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams in matrixed organizations.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced operational problem-solving
  • End-to-end process design and execution
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Executive-level communication
  • Cross-functional influence without authority
