Currently, we are seeking a Gas, Diesel and Propane Customer Service Representative in our Decatur, IL location.

This Customer Service Representative position is responsible for processing orders by our clients for products they need for their gas/diesel/propane processes whether they are Presidential, farming, industrial or contractor.

Gas, Diesel and Propane Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

  • Receives and reviews orders submitted.
  • Edits orders received for pricing, delivery, shipping needs.
  • Provides customers with quotes for unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Answers customer’s questions on product pricing, availability, and delivery options. Customer Service Representative will know to refer to Gas/Diesel/Propane Dispatch Supervisor for all technical questions.
  • Enters order into delivery software to determine total cost for customer, verify the pricing is based on price structure assigned to customer, product availability, and confirmation that delivery can meet the requirements.
  • Provides Gas/Diesel/Propane Dispatch Supervisor will all product, shipping, delivery, order, and inventory issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
  • Reports all account changes to Gas/Diesel/Propane Dispatch Supervisor.
  • Enters Gas, Diesel and Propane Inventory.
  • All end of the month requirements such as invoicing, corrections, and inventory needs shall be completed by the second business day of the new month.
  • Create reports for pricing, product usage and evaluation as needed.
  • Ensures price changes are put into place as they change (Gas/Diesel/Propane Dispatch Supervisor to supply the pricing changes)

Gas, Diesel and Propane Customer Service Representative Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in Computer skills: Word, Excel, Internet
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Has a "thick skin" and is able to handle complaints and unpleasant customers.
  • Has a pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude.
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
  • Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional approved overtime when needed.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.

1+ years of experience in customer service or help desk capacity preferred but not required. Some experience with multiline phone systems and computers. Experience with Google, Microsoft Office and Adobe preferred.
