Job Description
We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist to ensure that the dentists of Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics are properly trained, licensed and certified as mandated by state and federal regulations. The Credentialing Specialist will review applications, verify both individual and facility accreditation and maintain records of verification.

Summary
The credentialing specialist maintains databases in which they would input new information or update existing information regarding licenses, education, continuing education and relevant job experience. Ensure that all licenses and credentials are verified and updated for location they work.
Duties and responsibilities
To be a Credentialing Specialist, one should be a detail-oriented, organized decision-maker with the ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Using strong research skills to gather pertinent information regarding facilities and staff
- Keeping updated on licensing and certification requirements
- Audit applications and licensing documentation for accuracy
- Recognize credentialing guidelines of various insurance payors
Requirements
- 1-2 years of continuous credentialing experience
- Understanding current credentialing healthcare laws and regulations
- Possess knowledge of basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as credentialing database programs
Job Type:
- Part-time
- Seasonal - This is a 4-month seasonal assignment, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
Schedule:
- 20 hours/week
