We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician, who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. Together, staff will provide care that meets the needs of the community and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive experience for both patients and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic services to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with PT/OT, nursing, and providers for coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on speech-language pathology processes and home exercises.
- Maintain accurateand up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Conduct hearing screenings and evaluations.
- Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology techniques and technologies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Supervise and mentor speech-language pathology assistants and students.
- Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned and specified by clinical assignment and site.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications
- Licensure: State SLP License
- Certifications: ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence, BLS (AHA preferred or client specific)
- Immunizations: Based on client need
- Experience required: Based on client need
- Schedule: 32 hours per week

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with clients, vendors and staff. Overnight travel may be required from time to time. |
Mental demands: | There are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must be able to handle frequent interruptions and must also multi-task and interact with a wide variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues. |
