This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of advanced machine learning solutions for pricing and forecasting systems. You will own end-to-end product design, implementation, and long-term growth, shaping models that drive business impact across pricing, sales, supply chain, and ecommerce. Working within a high-performing data science team, you will leverage modern forecasting techniques, Bayesian methods, and AI-driven approaches to enhance accuracy, coverage, and risk mitigation. The position requires strong software development skills, expertise in statistical modeling, and the ability to translate business challenges into scalable ML solutions. You will influence strategic decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the evolution of automated pricing systems in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated pricing and forecasting systems for e-books and related products
- Take ownership of existing models and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, expansion, or redesign
- Develop and maintain machine learning algorithms, predictive models, and statistical methods to drive pricing decisions
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions
- Monitor and evaluate model performance, ensuring robustness, scalability, and alignment with business objectives
- Explore and implement cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to improve system efficiency and predictive accuracy
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership within the data science team
Requirements:
- Master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of applied experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- Expertise in Bayesian methods, stochastic modeling, and modern forecasting techniques
- Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining automated machine learning systems in commercial settings
- Strong programming skills in Python and R
- Ability to distill stakeholder requirements into problem definitions and actionable model specifications
- Experience with large-scale model validation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Preferred: experience growing or migrating existing systems, and a passion for pricing, market dynamics, or digital products
