Oceanfront Restroom Cleaner (Various Shifts) at Global Cleaning Services Corp – Virginia Beach, Virginia

The Oceanfront Restroom Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary restroom facilities at the oceanfront. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks in an outdoor, high-traffic environment. The Cleaner reports directly to the Area Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including floors, stalls, sinks, mirrors, doors, and windows
• Sweep sand and debris from floors and surrounding areas
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as countertops, door handles, and grab rails
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Power wash, sweep, and mop floors as needed
• Maintain a clean perimeter within 10 feet of the facility
• Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify the Area Manager when restocking is needed
• Report unsafe conditions or maintenance issues
• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and buffers (as needed)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
• On-the-job training will be provided

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning products and proper usage
• Ability to safely clean and disinfect various surfaces
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Understanding of safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals

Work Environment

• Outdoor position located at oceanfront restroom facilities
• High-traffic environment, especially during summer months and special events
• Exposure to varying weather conditions

Work Schedule

• Part-time position
• Flexible scheduling may include:
  • Day and evening shifts
  • Weekends and holidays
  • Overtime as needed
• Occasional travel between job sites may be required
