Miller Pipeline is looking to add hardworking Laborers to work on our gas distribution pipeline crews. Duties include assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and in the reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
- Capture GPS measurements and additional field data daily with high-grade equipment and devices.
- Obtain measurements for main/fittings (location, depth, manufacturer, size, type, other info) and services (tap location, offsets) being installed.
- Coordinate data and notes with GIS Analyst so As-Builts and GPS data can be delivered to client.
- Operate vehicles used for hauling.
- Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
- Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- Experience with geo spatial mapping software (examples: Locusview, Slashgeo, Trimble).
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year gas construction experience.
- Class A CDL.
- 1+ year Experience with Locusview.
