About Morgan Foods
Morgan Foods, Inc., a premier manufacturer of soups, beans, gravy, and broths, is seeking a Production Clerk to support daily production accuracy and material flow at our Austin, IN facility. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate system transactions, supporting inventory control, and helping ensure production materials are available and properly accounted for throughout the manufacturing process.
The Production Clerk is responsible for a variety of SAP and clerical duties that support production operations, including reconciling PSA areas, correcting production variances, processing goods receipts, tracking downtime, creating purchase requisitions for packing supplies, and helping maintain accurate production order activity. This role works closely with Production, Logistics, and other departments to resolve discrepancies, support material transactions, and keep daily operations running efficiently.
This position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using SAP and other systems, managing multiple priorities, and supporting production through accurate, timely, and organized clerical and transactional work.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate production and inventory transactions within SAP
- Reconcile Production Supply Areas (PSA) and resolve variances
- Correct production order discrepancies and ensure system accuracy
- Create and track purchase requisitions for packing materials (ARIBA)
- Follow up on requisitions through purchase order conversion
- Process goods receipts for incoming packing supplies
- Record downtime and material usage within production orders
- Support closing of production orders, transfer orders, and confirmations (901s)
- Perform cycle counts and accurately track waste/scrap
- Partner with Logistics and Production to resolve inventory and system discrepancies
- Complete general clerical and reporting tasks as needed

Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
This role operates both in an office setting and on the production floor. Candidates should be comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment and following all GMP and safety guidelines.
