Hoyleton Youth and Family Services and Puentes de Esperanza are seeking a detail-driven CPA who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment. This role supports the Controller and Senior Accounting Manager by maintaining the accuracy, flow, and reliability of financial data, reporting, and system processes across the agency.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused position for someone who enjoys working inside the numbers, improving workflows through smart recommendations, and collaborating across departments, without needing to own final decision-making authority.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be a core operator in the agency’s financial engine, ensuring data integrity, timely reporting, and smooth system performance across daily, monthly, and annual cycles.
Daily & Monthly Operations
- Monitor daily cash flow and update financial models and forecasts
- Review month-end close checklists and support timely completion of reporting tasks
- Respond to internal requests and financial data needs across departments
Systems & Reporting Support
- Work within ERP and reporting platforms (including the agency’s transition from Great Plains to Sage Intacct) to maintain accurate, consistent financial data
- Identify inefficiencies and make process improvement recommendations to the Controller and Finance leadership
- Support development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and internal financial tools
Budgeting, Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist with annual budget development and ongoing variance tracking
- Participate in audit preparation by pulling documentation, reports, and financial statements as assigned
- Serve as backup audit support when needed, under direction of Finance leadership
Accounting Quality & Controls
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure documentation and billing processes align with agency policy and applicable accounting standards
- Coordinate with payroll, purchasing, and contracts teams to support accurate financial records

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
- Active CPA credential (non-negotiable)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and audit support
- Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls
- High proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with ERP platforms (Sage Intacct, Great Plains, Concur, Salesforce, or Medicaid billing systems preferred)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage high volumes of work and meet strict audit and reporting deadlines
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- DCFS/CANTS clearance eligibility
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Must be at least 21 years of age
