Overview

Under close supervision of the designated supervisor, a Military Intern is responsible for observing corporate policies and procedures to acquire knowledge and build skills while working with a specific department, division, or on a special project. In addition, Interns have the opportunity to build their professional network, engage with other Fulton Bank Interns, and connect with other service members and employees through our Employee Resource Group (ERG).

  • Start Date: June 2026
  • Work Location & Details: On-site only at 1695 State Street East Petersburg, PA, Fulton Bank Administrative Services Center (1695 State Street Lancaster, PA).
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Preferred Work Hours 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • Additional Details:
    • Must be available to work on-site. Remote work accommodations are not available for this position.
    • Must have the ability to lift 50 + lbs. (Required)
    • Must have own transportation. (Required)
    • Relocation package/support is not offered for this position.
    • Military Internship assignments will not exceed six (6) months in duration.

As a condition of employment, individuals must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a work visa by Fulton Financial Corporation currently or in the future.



Responsibilities

  • Activities and responsibilities vary by assignment.
  • Performs assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
  • Reports on progress in internship program and provides feedback about program to manager and Talent Acquisition team.
  • Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Military Internship Program.
  • Duration of the program may vary, but will not exceed six (6) months in duration.
  • A Military Intern may also participate in career training/education as needed.

Scope of Work:

  • Assists in providing technical assistance to users of employee computing systems and local area networks.
  • Assists other Information Technology staff to correct any software or hardware problems with employee computing applications on the corporate network. Ensuring all open problems are reported to the manager on a timely basis.
  • Assists in performing hardware and software upgrades for employee computing applications.
  • Assists with network, telecom, and location project integrations and installations.
  • Performs duties generally expected of administrative staff employees.
  • Assists in providing thorough documentation and timely updates within the Information Technology ticketing system.
  • Learn and assist with the design and support of local area and wide area network.
  • Receive assignments from manager in the form of projects with general objectives defined. Intern is expected to keep their manager and others advised of progress on all projects on at least a weekly basis.


Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a service veteran with honorable discharge or an active service member currently on reserve and/or available to meet all employment requirements.
    • Documentation will be required upon offer.
  • Experience requirements will align to the needs of the assigned department, however ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a general technical background, is considered to be a team player but also works well independently, demonstrates a positive outlook, and can effectively multitask/handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Looking for a self-starter with demonstrated initiative looking to advance in their career, proven leadership abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Specific course of study is not required. However, an interest and/or background in Information Technology, Information Systems, or other technology education/experience is srongly preferred.
