Field Service Technician (Car Wash) at SIMONIZ USA – Albany, New York

Simoniz USA, one of the nation’s leading car wash chemical companies is looking to add a highly motivated Field Service Technician in the Albany area. This position plays an integral role in operating at our client sites performing preventive maintenance, equipment repair and installation as needed. This opportunity may possibly provide a path to future car wash chemical sales. The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be needed for travel and weekend work. Some overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect car wash quality for cleanliness, shine, and dryness.
• Inspect the application of chemical equipment. This includes application coverage on vehicles, Visual experience for Consumers, Application equipment fully operational, and clear/clean spraying of all chemical systems.
• Minor repairs or cleaning of application devices.
• Inspect Equipment room – chemical inventory, chemical storage, chemical levels, chemical mixing, and delivery equipment.
• Minor repairs of chemical mixing and chemical delivery equipment, pumps etc.
• Fill or replenish empty supplies, alert business and salesman of low-levels
• Water quality testing
• Fill out and email reports.
• Develop and maintain rapport with our customer base and partner with the customer to make beneficial recommendations
• Maintain high-quality customer service and care
• Some overnights required (20-25%)
• Accept direction from Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Must be a self-starter requiring a high degree of motivation and self-reliance
• Good time management and organizational capabilities
• Ability to work independently
• Detail oriented
• Wear specified personal protective equipment as needed
• Knowledge of the car wash industry preferred but not required
• Knowledge of the car wash industry is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, and frequent use of hands
• The ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50lbs

Work Environment

• Occasionally work in a humid environment
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Moderate noise level from equipment
• Work near moving mechanical parts
