Overview
D451 VIRGINIA Waterfront Engineering is looking for electrical engineers to join our power distribution team. Responsibility includes developing solutions to operational and test issues regarding power distribution equipment and propulsion plant control equipment. In addition to technical knowledge of circuit breakers, switchboards, and electronic and analog control systems, the job requires the ability to develop troubleshooting strategies and write procedures for shipyard execution. The job also requires deck-plate support in a shipyard environment.
The successful candidate must communicate effectively and work within a high performing, multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a personal desire to learn, grow, and excel within the organization.
The occasional need for off-shift overtime and watchbill support is required with this position.
Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables. Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
- 1-5 of post-graduate engineering experience
Preferred:
- Education Concentration or prior experience in Power Distribution or Power Electronics
- Experience with military equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems or equipment
- Experience with Navy electrical systems
