This is a senior-level DevOps role focused on building and operating highly reliable, observable, and scalable cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced global environment. You will work at the intersection of development and operations, ensuring production systems are resilient, performant, and continuously improving through strong observability practices. The role involves deep ownership of production systems, incident response leadership, and driving automation across cloud-native environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams across geographies, influencing architecture decisions and operational strategy. With a strong emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, and modern observability stacks, this position offers the opportunity to shape platform reliability at scale. It is both a hands-on technical role and a mentoring position, contributing to team growth and engineering excellence.

You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and observability of distributed systems while driving automation and operational excellence:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based web services in AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Own end-to-end operational reliability including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance optimization.
• Build and enhance observability systems (logs, metrics, traces) using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar platforms.
• Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and ECS/EKS.
• Lead resolution of production incidents, ensuring effective communication and root cause analysis across stakeholders.
• Drive engineering initiatives and technical projects with cross-functional teams across global locations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards across DevOps and platform practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep DevOps expertise combined with strong systems thinking and cloud-native engineering experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of DevOps / Infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, operating systems, networking, and systems architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services and orchestration platforms (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with observability stacks (Datadog, NewRelic, Honeycomb, Dynatrace, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer) and containerization (Docker).
• Proven ability in debugging complex production issues and driving root cause resolution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in SaaS environments and exposure to cloud-hosted architectures, databases, and reverse proxies.
