What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Case Evaluation: Review and assess the merits of clients’ Personal Injury claims by analyzing records, documents, and evidence to determine validity and potential valueLegal Representation: Represent clients in Personal Injury matters, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Prepare and file claims, petitions, and other legal documents, and advocate for clients before courts and agenciesLegal Strategy: Develop and implement effective strategies to protect clients’ rights and interests. Conduct legal research, analyze medical records, gather evidence, and negotiate with insurance companies to achieve favorable settlementsClient Communication: Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates, explaining legal processes, and advising them on their rights and optionsMedical and Vocational Assessment: Collaborate with medical and vocational experts to evaluate the extent of injuries, their impact on clients’ ability to work, and appropriate compensation levelsLitigation: Handle disputed or denied claims through litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacyCase Management: Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, coordinate with medical providers and experts, and oversee related legal and administrative tasksEthical Standards: Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable rules and regulationsContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, or outcomes—not just following existing playbooks

Provides positive experience and sound legal counsel to clients during their time of need;Maximizes case value through strong advocacy, sound judgment, and strategic litigation executionMoves cases efficiently through the litigation lifecycle to support faster resolutions and healthier cash flowProtects and elevates the TopDog Law brand through professionalism, preparation, and credibility with judges, opposing counsel, and clientsReduces risk and rework by spotting issues early, making decisive recommendations, and communicating clearly across teamsSupports scale by following and improving litigation processes that allow the firm to grow without sacrificing quality

Your ability to balance speed, strategy, and quality ensures clients are well-served, teams stay aligned, and the firm continues its rapid, disciplined growth.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6–12 months, success in this role looks like:

Provide client with positive experiences and trusted legal counselWork with your litigation team to move cases efficiently and consistently, maximizing case value and positive client outcomesWork with trusted mentors and coaches as you learn through TopDog Law training, gaining insight through real-time feedback, case strategy guidance, and elevated standardsWork with clear expectations and accountability to eliminate surprises and bottlenecksPartner effectively with leadership and operations to learn and implement litigation processes without sacrificing autonomy or judgmentEarn recognition internally and externally as a credible, prepared, and decisive advocate for your clients who elevates both people and performance

Qualifications

Required:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive admission to the New York Bar5 - 10 years of experience in Personal Injury lawStrong communication, negotiation, research, and writing skillsAbility to manage a robust case load independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of New York laws, regulations, and procedures requiredMust be located in or near the State of New YorkStrong communication skills—written and verbalAbility to think critically, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed

Nice to Have:

Active Admission to one or more districts of the New York Federal CourtExperience in a fast-growing or high-volume environmentComfort with ambiguity and evolving systemsExperience in legal, professional services, or client-centric organizations
