Roaming Commercial Grounds Laborer

Location: Nashville, TN

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $20/hr

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (includes 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Occasional weekend work may be required

Position Summary:

We are a growing landscaping company seeking a dependable and hardworking Roaming Commercial Grounds Laborer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience who wants steady work and long-term growth in the industry.

This position focuses on general lawn care, site cleanup, and outdoor labor across multiple commercial properties. The role also includes supporting the crew lead and assisting with additional landscaping or maintenance tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general lawn and landscape maintenance, including mowing, string trimming, edging, and blowing
• Remove litter, leaves, sticks, and debris from lawns, walkways, and common areas
• Support site cleanup and upkeep of commercial properties
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment
• Assist crew leaders with various landscaping or maintenance tasks as directed
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather conditions
• Participate in event setup and teardown as needed
• Support other departments with general labor tasks during slower periods
• Safely operate landscaping tools and equipment after training
• Complete daily electronic timesheets accurately and on time
• Follow all company safety procedures and supervisor instructions

• 1+ year of landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of a crew lead
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting screening due to work in school and child-adjacent environments
• Must comply with all non-smoking campus and facility requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent bending, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
