Charge Nurse - Assisted Living Facility
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our assisted living community. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursing operations within the assisted living community, ensuring quality care delivery
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff.
- Assess residents' health conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
- Monitor residents' health status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures
- Document all resident care activities accurately and maintain detailed medical records
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to promote professional development
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to assess residents' needs and develop appropriate care plans
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards residents and team members
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills
