About the role
We’re looking for an early-to-mid level engineer to help maintain and improve our web-based digital adoption experiences (DAP) and related web integrations, including artificial intelligence (AI). You’ll troubleshoot day-to-day issues, build and update web/DAP content, and partner with product and engineering teams on larger changes (e.g., Single-Page Application (SPA) updates, authentication changes).
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys debugging in the browser, writing practical JavaScript/HTML/CSS, and delivering reliable improvements without needing to own full platform architecture.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve common to moderately complex issues impacting web experiences and DAP implementations (e.g., content not displaying, selectors breaking, SPA navigation changes, Content Security Policy/Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CSP/CORS)-related issues, performance impacts).
- Use browser developer tools to diagnose issues (network requests, console errors, storage/cookies, caching).
- Build and maintain web/DAP experiences (e.g., guides, walkthroughs, in-app messages) with attention to UI/UX and customer experience.
- Make lightweight front-end updates using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and integrate with APIs when needed.
- Partner with engineering teams to escalate and resolve deeper systemic issues (e.g., major SPA refactors, complex authentication/SSO edge cases, security policy changes).
- Support integrations across environments (dev/test/prod), helping validate releases and reduce regressions.
- Track adoption and behavior metrics and share insights (what’s working, what’s broken, what to improve).
- Follow basic accessibility practices (WCAG/ARIA awareness) when building or updating experiences.
- Document fixes, known issues, and repeatable steps so future support and releases go faster.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for (required):
- 2–5 years experience in a web, implementation, or technical support/operations role for web applications.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including debugging and making targeted code changes.
- Capable of troubleshooting web issues using dev tools (selectors/DOM changes, SPA route changes, network requests, cookies/session behavior).
- Basic familiarity with web delivery/infrastructure concepts: DNS, TLS/HTTPS, caching, performance/load time basics.
- Familiarity with how web apps integrate with SaaS and enterprise systems (e.g., APIs, auth/session concepts, SSO awareness).
- Strong communication skills: able to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and coordinate across teams.
Nice to have (not required):
- Hands-on experience with a DAP tool (e.g., WalkMe, Whatfix, Pendo, Appcues).
- Familiarity with a modern JS framework (React/Angular/Vue) at the “can navigate and debug” level.
- Familiarity with Python or similar languages, such as Ruby or PHP
- Exposure to CSP/CORS troubleshooting, basic logging/monitoring, or tag/analytics tools.
- Accessibility experience beyond the basics (testing tools, remediation work).
What success looks like:
- Routine DAP/web issues are resolved quickly with clear documentation and minimal disruption.
- DAP experiences remain stable through web releases, with improved QA/checks over time.
- Adoption metrics and user feedback translate into actionable improvements.
- You build trust across product, engineering, and business teams through clear communication and dependable delivery.
