POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Inventory Assistant helps fulfill PO receiving, dispensation, transfers, return inventory, inventory adjustments and cycle counts physically and in the system. The Inventory Assistant collaborates closely with different functions across the organization including Marketing, Purchasing, Production, Shipping, Transportation, and other operating units to ensure smooth operations within the supply chain.
Requirements:- Process PO receiving, dispensation, transfer, return inventory, and inventory adjustments of products and materials into company’s software.
- Perform physical and system cycle counts, pull orders, and manage inventory stock.
- Maintain optimum work area organization, efficiency, and cleanliness.
- Attend regular training sessions scheduled by Warehouse Supervisor.
- Work with different departments to maximize efficiency in the company.
- General warehouse duties, forklift usage to unload or upload equipment as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Full Time position
- Lifting heavy equipment physically, 50+ lbs, and with machinery.
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent qualification (desirable but not required).
- 1+ year(s) of experience in related fields (warehouse).
- Experience using MS Outlook, Excel and an ERP system is preferred.
- A forklift certification if a plus.
- Availability to work past regularly scheduled hours during peak seasons and on Saturdays when needed.
Work Environment: Mixed Indoor and Outdoor Environment
- This position is primarily outdoors but may require occasional indoor work between locations for administrative tasks. Indoor duties may involve using computers and standard office equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in fluctuating weather conditions, including exposure to sunlight, rain, wind, and temperature changes (hot, cold, rainy, windy).
- Tasks often involve manual labor or physical effort.
