Job Description:

We are currently seeking experienced and dependable High-Lift Box Truck Drivers to join our team in a vital role supporting airline catering operations. This position is responsible for the safe and timely delivery and retrieval of airline catering carts to and from commercial aircraft on the tarmac using specialized high-lift box trucks.

This is not an entry-level driving position. Candidates must have prior experience operating box trucks or straight trucks (typically 16-26 in length). Experience limited to personal vehicles, rideshare/delivery services (e.g., Amazon, DoorDash), or warehouse forklifts does not meet the requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and secure food, beverage, and equipment carts onto a high-lift box truck based on flight schedules
• Safely drive and operate the truck on airport grounds, adhering to all safety and security protocols
• Lift and position the truck at aircraft doors for accurate loading and unloading of catering carts
• Swap full carts with empty ones while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Communicate clearly with airline crew, ramp agents, and kitchen staff to coordinate deliveries
• Monitor flight schedules to ensure on-time service for every flight
• Perform routine safety checks and keep the vehicle and carts clean and organized at all times

What You'll Need:

• Valid Minnesota Drivers License with a clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year box truck or straight truck driving experience (Required)
• Must pass a TSA background check, airport security clearance and a safety-sensitive pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure airport environment
• Open availability: early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Able to take direction, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, professional attitude

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in airline catering, logistics, or airport operations
• Familiarity with operating high-lift vehicles or working around aircraft

Qualifications/Experience:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Box truck: 1 year (Required)
• English: Spoken and written (Required)

Open availability is essential due to seniority-based shift bids that occur 23 times per year, as schedules are assigned based on tenure and availability during these periods.
