Role Overview:

As an Assistant CBE Production Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the CBE Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the production team. Your role will be essential in ensuring that all production activities align with Safe Quality Food (SQF) protocols. You will supervise the process team through the receipt, blending, processing, and shipment of products while driving improvements in production efficiency. Your leadership will help meet production goals and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and cost standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of Team Leaders and Process Technicians to achieve production targets with a strong focus on safety, quality, sanitation, and cost control.
  • Work closely with the sales and corporate planning departments to align production schedules with demand forecasts.
  • Supervise the coordination of production activities, ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee inventory management, including tracking ingredients and placing purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Make process adjustments to establish optimal conditions and troubleshoot operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental regulations, and wastewater treatment protocols.
  • Monitor plant performance, taking proactive measures to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Guide training, coaching, and performance evaluation efforts for team members.
  • Work with Accounting to report on inventory, blending, and production data.
  • Provide on-call support for troubleshooting and addressing emergency situations.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as required.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a process/production environment, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Education: BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with SAP for inventory and requisition management is a plus.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while prioritizing tasks and fostering accountability.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
  • GMP Knowledge: Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to access work areas at elevated heights (up to 60 feet) and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, as well as sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling as needed.
  • Ability to use various tools and devices, including computers and radios, to perform job duties.
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
