Radiology Sched/Receptionist at RWJBarnabas Health – Livingston, New Jersey

Job Overview:

Performs tasks as assigned by supervisor/technologist. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One (1) Year of Prior Scheduling Experience in a Healthcare Setting
• Ability to operate various computer systems
• Successful completion of all Orientation Program

Preferred:

• College Degree
• EPIC experience

Scheduling Requirements:

• Working Shift: Monday – Friday
• Day Shift: 9:00AM-5:00PM
• Full-Time, 37.5 Hours

Essential Functions:

• Supports departmental policies, practices, and initiatives in support of patient experience, throughput, safety standards and revenue cycle outcomes.
• Functions include scheduling of the Radiology department testing, insurance verification, receptionist for the Radiology department, check-in/check-out patients, and act as a liaison for clinical staff
• Accurately enter all demographic/insurance information
• Answers phones in a professional, friendly manner
• Assists patients with special needs / accommodations
• Instructs patients on exam preparations.
• Replenishes supplies; organizes, stocks and maintains the waiting room
• Informs patient of possible financial responsibility in accordance with OON requirements.
• Greets patients and escorts them to their destination
• Verifies CPT Codes are correct for procedure
• Collaborates, communicates and coordinates to create a positive experience through the entire Radiology Support Services flow.
