Job Title: Warehouse Manager

General Overview: Responsible for supervising and supporting the direction, coordination and evaluation of product movement including activities involving storage, inventory availability and replenishment, pick planning and packing of product in a manner consistent with service and cost objectives directly and through area supervisors. Utilizes WMS logic to maximize efficiencies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plans, assigns and directs the work of the Picking, Replenishment, WMS Analyst and Hauling Teams.
• Manages the workflows between picking and packing, to correspond with shipping schedules.
• Responsible for the accurate movement of product throughout the facility.
• Responsible for the cross communication between areas and shifts
• Develops strategies, to optimize slotting in storage locations to maximize throughput.
• Maintains and updates all master data, related to product flow throughout the building including Storage, Shipping and Receiving
• Assists in the process to interview, evaluate, make hiring/termination recommendations, train, coach, and develop personnel for various job requirements throughout the operation in support of all Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals.
• Responsible for contributing to the company’s continuous improvement objectives.
• Provide a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunities.
• Other duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of operations supervisory experience working in a high velocity distribution facility.
• Extensive understanding of product flow related to Warehousing, Shipping and Receiving.
• Takes initiative; a self starter.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with variety of individuals.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with employees and staff.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate employee issues, while maintaining a positive environment.
• Ability to adapt and change as business needs change daily.
• Ability to work extended hours, shifts and/or additional days as needed.
• Microsoft Office experience including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

-While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend and lift for full shift.

-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision. Employee will be required to hear warning horns, bells, alarms and oral instructions for safety purposes.

Working Conditions:

-General distribution center working conditions.
-Normal hours of 6:00am –3:30pm Monday-Friday. Subject to change. Some extended hours/shifts/workdays are required.
-Climate controlled environment.
