Test Script Writer at Immersion Consulting, LLC – Annapolis Junction, Maryland

The Test Script Writer is responsible for developing, writing, and maintaining detailed and comprehensive test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Working closely with developers, testers, and project managers, the Test Script Writer ensures that each script aligns with project requirements and follows established quality standards.

This role plays a crucial part in the software testing lifecycle by creating test cases that help identify and prevent issues before software reaches the end user. The role emphasizes the consistency of Agile processes in line with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®).

• Write, maintain, and refine comprehensive test plans and cases based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into testable scenarios.
• Execute test scripts, validate results, and document any issues or defects for follow-up.
• Collect usability data and prepare IV&V status reports.
• Implement Quality Assurance (QA) processes and standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives) to align testing efforts with team goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Secret Clearance Required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in test scripting.
• Experience with Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with business intelligence and data analytics.
• Familiarity with EWM tools.
• Active DHS Fitness Determination.
