Controller/Human Resource Manager at MDC Healthcare – NORCROSS, Georgia
About This Position
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller/HR Manager to manage all aspects of financial management and Human Resource practices and processes. Financial management includes but is not limited to corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, and financial risk management. HR management includes but is not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, payroll, and benefits management.
The Controller/HR Manager will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy, entrepreneurial environment and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage accounting and financial reporting processes
· Lead annual budget development efforts and produce forecasts as needed
· Employ our online bill pay system to process accounts payable and expense reimbursements.
· Use our online accounting software to generate financial reports monthly and for annual tax preparation.
· Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and analyze revenue and expense trends
· Communicate financial metrics to the organization
· Prepare performance and asset flow data for quarterly valuation purposes.
· Manage the preparation and processing of payroll for personnel
· Assist department managers with hiring staff, including posting jobs online, scheduling interviews, and generating offer letters
· Manage payroll and benefits programs working with third party providers
· Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
· Manage quarterly incentive bonus program
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline
· Accounting designation or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
· 5+ years of accounting and/or financial management experience and 5+ years of human resources management experience
· Effective interpersonal, listening, writing, and communication skills
· Ability to work closely with senior management within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
