About This Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Trading
    • Complete daily trade requests accurately and timely
    • Portfolio Rebalancing – Collaborate with wealth management team to analyze and rebalance client portfolios, ensuring alignment with target allocations
    • Follow-up with applicable advising teams within reason to ensure end-client needs are met, especially in regard to discretionary accounts
    • Own the block trading process of order generation, review, and execution
    • Be a SME of trading software to be additive in the conversation of new strategies and operations
    • Maintain a record and provide analysis on block trade execution
    • Reporting: Generate trade confirmations, performance reports, and compliance documentation as required
    • Technology & Systems - Utilize and maintain trading platforms to optimize trade execution and minimize costs
    • Compliance - Ensure all trades and activities comply with SEC, FINRA, and firm-specific regulatory requirements
    • Process Improvement - Identify and implement opportunities to streamline trading processes and improve operational efficiency
    • Own the duties and ask for support from supervisor as needed to resource tasks in which deadlines could be missed and/or additional expertise is needed
  • Operational Support
    • Run reports to identify firm risk
      • Drift report: Identifying accounts that have out-of-tolerance asset allocations
      • Run high cash report, and sift through data to identify high cash accounts
      • Reach out to service teams to obtain solutions
    • Work with back-office teams (Operations) to ensure data integrity and efficient workflows
    • Upload daily account restrictions into AdvisorPeak
    • Review Performance Composite Outliers
    • Process 717 Client Agreements
    • Bill 717 Managed Accounts
    • Advisor reporting Requests
    • Act as 717 CSA for Outside Advisors
    • Report on 401k/403b plan investments
    • Report on Annuity investments
  • Communications
    • Writing and distributing Daily Market Update each day
    • Drafting Weekly Market Update by EOD Friday each week
    • Own the duties and ask for support from supervisor as needed to resource tasks in which deadlines could be missed and/or additional expertise is needed
  • Miscellaneous
    • Respond to phone calls, texts, and e-mails in a timely fashion
    • Follow and adhere to Company policies, procedures, and guidelines
    • Willing to learn the industry and help us maintain and grow our marketplace position
    • Attend business meetings and trainings as required
    • Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned

Experience (preferred or required):

  • Associate's degree in business, finance, or a related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience at a financial services firm preferred
  • Knowledge of financial markets and technology required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement required
  • Attention to Detail - Meticulous and accurate in trade execution and reporting required
  • CRM software experience preferred; Salesforce preferred
  • Portfolio management software experience required, Addepar preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams required
