As an Automation & Robotics Engineer – Paint, you will play a critical technical role supporting automated paint operations. You will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to keep systems running smoothly and continuously improve process performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated robotic paint systems to ensure consistent coating quality and uptime
Program, debug, and refine FANUC and ABB robots supporting paint and coating applications
Support process improvements related to spray application, paint viscosity, atomization, and curing
Analyze data and system performance to identify opportunities for automation and quality improvements
Develop, update, and support automation procedures and standard work related to paint systems
Partner with Maintenance and Production teams during troubleshooting, startups, and equipment adjustments
Support communication and alignment across shifts to ensure consistent application of processes
Provide technical guidance and recommendations while supporting (not supervising) production teams
You may be a great fit if you are:
A technically strong, hands-on engineer who enjoys working directly with automated equipment
Experienced in automation or robotics engineering, ideally within paint or coating applications
Proficient with FANUC and/or ABB robotics and familiar with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Knowledgeable in PLC systems and manufacturing automation environments
A clear communicator who collaborates well with cross-functional teams
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and supporting off-shift operations
Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
Work with advanced paint automation and robotics in a modern manufacturing environment
Play a key technical role without direct people-management responsibility
Collaborate with experienced engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
