About This Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Mobile Research Sonographer to support clinical trials conducted in patient homes.
This role is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging in accordance with study protocols while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a mobile environment and is passionate about expanding access to clinical research.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLEPerform ultrasound examinations (e.g., echocardiograms, vascular, abdominal, or study-specific imaging) per protocol
Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for centralized review
Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
Maintain high-quality standards consistent with clinical research requirements
Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
Travel to patient homes to conduct visits
Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants
Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or RCS (for echo)
2+ years of clinical sonography experience
Experience with portable ultrasound equipment
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to travel locally/regionally
Strong attention to detail and image quality
Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
Time management and organizational skills
