This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, lifecycle marketing, and customer experience, with a unique mandate to redefine how a large consumer audience emotionally connects with a complex, everyday service. You will be responsible for transforming highly functional, transactional communications into meaningful, trust-building interactions across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging. Working in a fast-growing, data-driven environment, you will shape the voice of the brand from the ground up and help establish a more human, empathetic tone across all customer touchpoints. This is a highly hands-on individual contributor role where creativity, writing craft, and customer empathy are just as important as marketing strategy. You will collaborate closely with product, growth, design, and customer insights teams to influence engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty. Over time, your scope may expand into broader organic brand storytelling and community-driven channels.
- Lead the end-to-end transformation of lifecycle communications across CRM, email, SMS, and in-app channels, shifting messaging from transactional to empathetic and value-driven.
- Define and establish a scalable tone of voice and brand communication system in partnership with senior leadership.
- Personally craft high-quality copy for campaigns, product messaging, onboarding flows, and retention journeys.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, Design, and Customer Insights teams to translate user pain points into meaningful, trust-building narratives.
- Engage with community channels and user feedback (including social and forum discussions) to inform messaging strategy and brand perception.
- Contribute to shaping early-stage brand identity and, as impact grows, expand into broader organic content initiatives such as social storytelling and engagement campaigns.
- 5+ years of experience in creative marketing, copywriting, or lifecycle/CRM-focused roles within consumer-facing products or brands.
- Proven ability to write compelling, human-centered copy for lifecycle channels such as email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic messaging work and high-quality creative writing.
- Deep understanding of audience development, product positioning, and emotional storytelling.
- Experience working in fast-paced, data-informed environments, with the ability to balance analytical input with strong creative judgment.
- Familiarity with community-driven platforms and digital culture dynamics, including forums and social channels.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
