In this role, you will contribute to strengthening the cybersecurity posture of federal systems by engineering, monitoring, and maintaining secure endpoint environments. You will play a key role in identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with strict federal security frameworks, and supporting continuous monitoring across critical infrastructure. Working in a highly regulated environment, you will collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and engineering teams to deliver accurate security reporting and risk assessments. Your expertise will directly support Certification & Accreditation processes and help ensure systems remain aligned with standards such as NIST, FISMA, and CISA directives. This position requires both hands-on technical capability and the ability to communicate security risks effectively to leadership. It is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on national-level cybersecurity resilience in a mission-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Engineer, configure, and maintain secure endpoint systems while ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity requirements
  • Monitor, assess, and track vulnerabilities (including CVEs and KEVs), ensuring timely remediation and compliance with CISA directives
  • Support vulnerability management processes, including reporting, risk analysis, and escalation to senior stakeholders
  • Assist with Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities, including documentation such as SSPs, POA&Ms, and audit responses
  • Provide SIEM integration and log forwarding support to enable continuous monitoring and threat detection
  • Conduct system hardening, patching, and endpoint security configuration to reduce organizational risk
  • Prepare and present security findings, compliance reports, and remediation strategies to technical and executive audiences
  • Ensure protection of sensitive data, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), in accordance with NIST guidelines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, endpoint security, or systems protection
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST SP 800 series, FISMA, FedRAMP, and CISA directives
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools, reporting, and remediation tracking
  • Experience with system hardening, endpoint protection, patch management, and SIEM integration
  • Strong technical writing skills with experience producing security documentation and compliance reports
  • Ability to analyze risk and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Familiarity with federal environments or regulated industries is strongly preferred
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary up to $120,000 annually, based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
  • HSA and FSA flexible spending accounts
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Life insurance and pet insurance options
  • Wellness programs and employee support initiatives
  • Flexible work environment (RIVA Flex)
  • Additional workplace perks and benefits supporting work-life balance
