This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Endpoint Security Engineer in the United States.
In this role, you will contribute to strengthening the cybersecurity posture of federal systems by engineering, monitoring, and maintaining secure endpoint environments. You will play a key role in identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with strict federal security frameworks, and supporting continuous monitoring across critical infrastructure. Working in a highly regulated environment, you will collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and engineering teams to deliver accurate security reporting and risk assessments. Your expertise will directly support Certification & Accreditation processes and help ensure systems remain aligned with standards such as NIST, FISMA, and CISA directives. This position requires both hands-on technical capability and the ability to communicate security risks effectively to leadership. - Engineer, configure, and maintain secure endpoint systems while ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity requirements
- Monitor, assess, and track vulnerabilities (including CVEs and KEVs), ensuring timely remediation and compliance with CISA directives
- Support vulnerability management processes, including reporting, risk analysis, and escalation to senior stakeholders
- Assist with Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities, including documentation such as SSPs, POA&Ms, and audit responses
- Provide SIEM integration and log forwarding support to enable continuous monitoring and threat detection
- Conduct system hardening, patching, and endpoint security configuration to reduce organizational risk
- Prepare and present security findings, compliance reports, and remediation strategies to technical and executive audiences
- Ensure protection of sensitive data, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), in accordance with NIST guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, endpoint security, or systems protection
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST SP 800 series, FISMA, FedRAMP, and CISA directives
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools, reporting, and remediation tracking
- Experience with system hardening, endpoint protection, patch management, and SIEM integration
- Strong technical writing skills with experience producing security documentation and compliance reports
- Ability to analyze risk and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with federal environments or regulated industries is strongly preferred
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus
