About This Position
Executive Vice President of Content Development
Were looking for a visionary creative leader to drive our long-term content strategy across films, series, documentaries, unscripted formats, and emerging media. As EVP of Content Development, youll shape our entire content pipelinefrom early concept and pitch through pre-productionensuring every project is strategically aligned, creatively strong, and set up for success. Youll work closely with leaders across Movies, Series, Social, News, and Operations to bring bold ideas to life.

Primary Responsibilities - Lead the companys content development strategy across all formats in partnership with the CCO.
- Build and manage a balanced development slate, including original concepts, adaptations, and acquisitions.
- Evaluate and shape pitches, scripts, treatments, and creative materials; guide early creative direction and project packaging.
- Oversee the idea-to-greenlight process to ensure projects meet creative, audience, financial, and operational requirements.
- Ensure the slate is varied, well-sequenced, and informed by market trends and engagement insights.
- Collaborate with Production, Finance, Legal, Content Operations, and Marketing to prepare projects for greenlight and smooth transition into production.
- Integrate developed and acquired content into a unified slate strategy; assess potential acquisitions and guide their development.
- Build and maintain relationships with writers, directors, producers, agencies, and industry partners.
- Lead, mentor, and support the development team; foster a strong, collaborative culture.
- Represent The Daily Wire as a senior leader at industry events and markets.
- Background in Film, Media, Communications, Creative Writing, or related field preferred.
- Extensive experience leading content development across film, TV, digital media, or studio environments
- Proven track record in identifying strong creative concepts and developing them into successful projects
- Strong storytelling instincts and skill in evaluating scripts, treatments, characters, and structure
- Deep understanding of industry trends, market shifts, and audience behavior
- Strategic thinker with strong creative direction and sound decision-making abilities
- Solid financial and operational understanding, including budget and resource evaluation
- Skilled cross-functional leader with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment aligned with conservative media values
- Collaborative leader with strong interpersonal skills
- Effective delegator who maintains strategic oversight across a complex creative ecosystem
