Solutions Architect at Megaport – Gurugram, Haryāna

As a Solutions Architect for Megaport, you’ll have the ability to work with an industry-leading technology that enables cloud networking solutions via a globally connected software-defined network. You’ll interact with the top hyper-scale and cloud solution partners around the world, and develop innovative network solutions to meet the changing needs of Enterprises in a data-driven world.

Our ideal Solutions Architect will have a history of successfully designing and implementing network solutions with a strong background in cloud computing. This candidate will be able to drive technical solutions with engineering and business leaders across our customers and channel partner base. Using their technical background and the skills to train and enable Megaport partners to utilise Megaport services, they’ll also be driving direct technical discussions with both channel partners as well as enterprise customers.

The Solutions Architect is a key enabler for the India sales team that will be instrumental in driving long term growth and success of the Megaport platform.

• Support sales and partner opportunities for Megaport by creating and delivering content and demonstrations as the technical pre-sales arm in India Develop and deliver product education and presentations for use by internal sales teams as well as for partner and channel affiliates.

• Develop India specific use cases for enterprises.

• Work with new customers & internal marketing teams for developing case studies & references for India Market

• Ability to understand and articulate partner and customer business requirements, develop corresponding solution architecture design leveraging Megaport and partner services.

• Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Megaport products and solutions, competitive products, as well as the products of our key cloud services partners (Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle, Alibaba, IBM, Nutanix, SAP and others) and transfer such knowledge to the Sales and Marketing teams.

• Specify, design and integrate into customer environments Megaport Cloud Router and Megaport Virtual Edge products that focus on NVF (network function virtualization) and VNF (virtual network functions) including routing, SD-WAN, SASE, SSE and Firewall competencies.

• Understanding of Extreme IX Products & possible use cases in Enterprise segment

• Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Megaport’s software, API, and be able to engage in technical discussions with our customers, prospects, and prospective partners.

• Partner and collaborate with the broader sales team to drive partner relationships.

• Contribute to solution briefs, blogs, technical guides and training materials.

• Working with our customers to deploy and test restful API and Terraform integrations.

• Working with CSP Partners for developing technical solutions for joint GTM.

• Taring of chanel partner teams on Megaport Services

• Strong technical background in designing Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architectures, preferably with a background in enterprise cloud deployments.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and API integrations is a plus.

• Knowledge of Cloud reference architectures and typical hyperscaler workload deployments.

• Advanced Network Certifications.

• 5+ years of networking experience in a customer facing technical role

• Experience working within the SD-WAN and Security vendors with one or more of Cisco (Viptela, Meraki), Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware, Versa, Aviatrix.

• Strong customer presentation and public speaking capabilities; from small groups to workshop level events, including industry related events.

• Experience in designing or deploying cloud/virtualisation solutions in enterprise customer environments is highly desirable.

• Deep understanding of India Telco ECO Systems and their products & Services

• Experience in working with CSPs for joint pitches

• Understanding of Carrier Networks in terms of connectivity across the India APAC, EMEA, and North American landscapes.

• Experience working within the Enterprise software market or Internet industries is highly desired.

• This role is based in Gurugram with domestic and international travel to 60%.
