Adjunct Faculty: General Physics I at Bay Path University – Longmeadow, Massachusetts

Bay Path University seeks a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach General Physics I in a face-to-face format. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student success in foundational physics concepts.

There are 2 sections Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30PM to 4:45PM and 5:00PM to 6:15PM

• Teach General Physics I (algebra- or calculus-based, depending on program needs) in person
• Develop and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and problem-solving sessions
• Prepare course materials, including syllabus, assignments, and assessments
• Evaluate and grade student work in a timely manner
• Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students
• Use the university’s learning management system to post materials and grades
• Adhere to university policies and academic standards
• Collaborate with department faculty as needed

Compensation: $500 - $1,200 per credit. Adjunct faculty pay rates vary, depending on academic discipline and the course's credit load and level.

• Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related field (Ph.D. preferred)
• Prior teaching experience at the college level or strong evidence of teaching ability
