We're looking for a dynamic Delivery Manager CAPEX to play a key role in delivering critical electrical infrastructure across our customers' networks. Working closely with our customers, Design Engineering and Delivery teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards - helping keep the power on for our communities.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working across technical, operational and commercial environments. You'll bring strong contract management capability, with a superior technical understanding of electrical distribution assets and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver great outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are progressed to successful completion within guidelines and constraints of contract specifications, quality and budget.
- Organise and control contract specific resource requirements as to ensure that production and installation schedules remain on target.
- Ensure applicable processes are utilised for construction and installation.
- Responsible for managing health and safety at all sites, for all persons entering and associated with work sites.
- Instigate the expeditious delivery of equipment and goods to maintain project schedules and arrange for the handling, storage, packaging, preservation, and delivery to site.
- Complete monthly cost-to-completes on projects and ensure all project financials are managed within contract terms.
- Reporting all health, safety, environment, and training events in the H&S management system.
- Effective management and continuous improvement of quality assurance, sub-contractor engagement, and customer service.
- Project a positive attitude and actively contribute to a companywide culture of effective communication, cooperation and teamwork.
What You Bring:
- Project Management experience; managing multiple projects up to and exceeding $250k. The ability to manage a programme of multiple projects taking due care of reporting and controlling requirements whilst maintaining and building customer relations that will enhance future business opportunities and promote communication processes to resolve and prevent conflicting matters.
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff, with a focus on safety, training, and development.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills both written and oral.
- Exceptional knowledge of, and experience working in, the electrical sector; broad understanding of the wider Utility Industry.
- Current Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Project
- Demonstrated experience in relevant trade area required:
- Project Management, Engineering, Business and / or Related discipline
- Experience in a Contracting Environment (Utility Networks)
- Commissioning Projects
- Management of variations both at recording, follow up, expediting and closing.
