As a People Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic partner to leaders across clinical and operations teams, helping to shape people strategies that support organizational growth, team effectiveness, and employee experience. You will influence key HR initiatives including performance management, organizational design, succession planning, and employee engagement, while also addressing day-to-day people needs. This role provides the opportunity to strengthen people infrastructure, improve manager effectiveness, and support a rapidly scaling organization. You will collaborate closely with leaders to translate business priorities into actionable people strategies, ensuring teams have the clarity, tools, and support needed to succeed. The ideal candidate is highly strategic, data-informed, and skilled at coaching leaders to drive outcomes across a distributed workforce. This is a fully remote role requiring PST-aligned availability.
- Partner with Clinical and Operations leaders to drive people strategies that enhance team performance, organizational health, and business outcomes
- Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, team development, engagement, and retention
- Lead and support programs including performance reviews, talent assessments, succession planning, and organizational planning
- Partner on cross-functional projects such as policy updates, job description development, process improvements, and change management initiatives
- Use data, trends, and business context to identify risks, talent gaps, and recommend solutions that improve team effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies across a remote workforce
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in HR or People roles, including direct experience as a People Business Partner or HR Business Partner
- Experience supporting large, non-exempt employee populations, ideally in healthcare or clinician-facing environments
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
- Prior startup experience during periods of rapid growth (Seed to Series B/C) is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers through performance management, employee relations, team effectiveness, and organizational change
- Experience building or improving people programs and infrastructure, not just maintaining existing processes
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to thrive in a fully remote environment

- Base salary: $115,000–$130,000 USD
