OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Manager will lead the Securitas Security Products & Solutions (SPS) North America Distribution Center operation supporting multiple branded companies operating from this location. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and distribution center, including but not limited to: receiving, storing, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping orders. The Warehouse Manager will ensure that orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and that customer satisfaction is always the top priority. He or she will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customer service, vendors, carriers, and other 3PL service providers. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a warehouse or distribution center, and will be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
The Warehouse Manager creates and actively promotes a positive impact on reducing the environmental footprint while maintaining efficient warehouse management processes that drive key service metrics such as Order Fill Rate, On Time Shipment, and Right-First-Time shipment accuracy for delivery quality. Also sets operational metrics for Inventory Accuracy and warehouse operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs and manages the daily fulfillment of customer sales orders. This includes the creation of sales orders in the ERP system and the Pick, Pack, Ship of customer orders.
- Provides leadership and guidance for the team in the execution of the above duties. This would include creating appropriate work schedules, employee time management/approvals, and directing the daily tasks of the team to support fulfillment activities. Responsible for providing training and performance improvements.
- Interacts daily with sales teams in providing reliable information regarding customer order status, on-time delivery, and issue resolution.
- Extensive knowledge of both domestic and international shipping requirements with the ability to provide freight quotes as required in support of customer deliveries.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse management processes to implement and support inventory control best practices, and location control for both inbound and outbound materials. This would include all system transactions ,ie goods receipts, transfers, shipments, and Cycle Counting. Also, interacts daily with procurement team regarding any issues with inbound material receipts.
- Provides extensive knowledge in ERP and WMS systems as the primary tool for enabling processes.
- Experience in maintaining a safe work environment including forklift certifications, material handling best practices, and accident prevention.
- Creates, maintains, and tracks performance metrics for Fill Rate, On Time Delivery, Shipment Accuracy, and general Productivity improvements. Ability to define, maintain, and improve sustainable processes for the execution of sales order fulfillment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum ten years fulfillment, warehouse management, operations, or management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management systems
- Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and basic computer skills
- Ability to work onsite in a warehouse environment which requires walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
Preferred:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in business or operations management
- High attention to detail
- Strong team player with ability to work on cross-functional teams
