Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 depending on experience.

Position Overview

The Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions including financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, and day-to-day bookkeeping operations while supporting leadership with financial visibility and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll review, and bank reconciliations
• Oversee monthly close and prepare accurate financial statements
• Maintain and improve reporting structures and chart of accounts
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Handle job costing and ensure accurate project or departmental financial tracking
• Manage intercompany transactions across simple legal entities
• Coordinate with external partners on tax filings, audits, and compliance matters
• Strengthen internal financial procedures and ensure GAAP compliance
• Provide financial insights to leadership for operational and vendor decisions
• Support process improvement initiatives and accounting system optimization

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting processes including close and reconciliations
• ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills preferred
• Background in construction, distribution, manufacturing, or service industries is a plus
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in daily accounting operations
