About This Position
As a Bartender at Room 56, our speakeasy-style cocktail lounge, you will create a memorable guest experience by welcoming guests, engaging in conversation, learning their preferences, answering questions, and recommending cocktails or menu selections. You will craft and serve beverages and light food items while maintaining the elevated yet intimate atmosphere that defines the Room 56 experience.
To succeed in this role, you should have a friendly and engaging personality, strong attention to detail, and solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and guest service. Efficiency, professionalism, and the ability to read the room and anticipate guest needs are essential in this environment.

Requirements:Job Requirements:
- Be approachable and attentive to all guests while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
- Follow all local health, safety, and sanitation regulations applicable to the hotel and bar operations.
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service.
- Accurately receive and process beverage and food orders, communicating with the kitchen when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing tables, bar tops, workstations, and floors throughout and after service.
- Process payments and charge transactions to guest accounts in accordance with hotel policies.
- Prepare and serve both classic and creative cocktails while adhering to company standards and all local and state alcohol regulations.
- Verify guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service and guest safety.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
