Position: Emergency Management Intern

Position Summary: Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking a professional Emergency Management Intern to join the Emergency Management Team in the Mobile Intensive Care Service (MICS) department. This internship offers hands-on experience in emergency management within a hospital setting, emphasizing public health and public policy. Interns will engage in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans, planning and facilitating meetings and workshops, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance community resilience.

Position Responsibilities: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans; conduct risk assessments and coordinate emergency drills and trainings; prepare reports and documentation related to emergency management; participate in MGMC internship events; accept other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Knowledge and Experience: Undergraduate or graduate student in good standing majoring in healthcare-related field, emergency management, public health, social sciences, sociology, public policy, political science, Global Resource Systems, or other relevant major. Previous internship experience preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong writing skills, commitment to continuous improvement and training, knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Approximate Hours per Week: 20-24
