Job Description
The Career Services Manager supervises and assures quality systems for the Career Services team. We are looking for someone with high energy with strong work ethics as our work environment is fast-paced and performance-based. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits and evaluations, and working closely with program staff to enhance service delivery and achieve program goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Manages a team of 5 Career Setvice Coordinators
  • Develops strategies for job-seeker development to meet business needs
  • Assures compliance with placement regulations related to career services
  • Monitors department performance and ensures team is properly trained
  • Develops, motivates and provides exceptional leadership for career services team
  • Strategizes, develops and maintains quality Career Services program to achieve goals
  • Works cooperatively with business services and training to service customer needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in career services, education, social work or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience working in job development with diverse populations, including hard-to-serve populations
  • 3+ years’ experience managing a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of quality.
  • Successful experience work with the public in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the New York City area job market and economic trends preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communications skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, data management software)
  • Desire to work with a diverse population of customers with varying needs
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
