The Position: We are looking for an Initial Billing Specialist to join the team!

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required
• 1 year of medical billing experience, preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office

Overview:

The Health Care Initial Billing Specialist is a member of the team responsible for coordinating and processing patient and insurance billing.

Below are additional key functions and skills for this opportunity:

• Submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies to secure payment
• Creates patient accounts in billing systems to bill DME claims to payors and patients
• Reviews medical documentation to bill correct payors and products
• Creates and mails insurance claims
• Resubmits claims to insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment
