General Machining & Inspection Technician at Babbitting Service Inc – Wellsville, New York

Babbitting Service, Inc., is seeking a motivated, hands-on Machining & Inspection Technician to support our operations in Wellsville, NY. This is not a general labor position — this role is ideal for someone with machine shop experience who wants to grow their skills in precision measurement, bearing and part assembly, and quality inspection.

• Perform dimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances

• Assist with bearing and part assembly, fitting, and setup

• Support machining operations including surface grinding, bandsaw cutting, and lapping

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and tolerances

• Experience and familiarity with precision measuring tools

• Strong basic math skills for tolerance calculations

• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Machine shop or manufacturing experience

• Familiarity with surface grinders, lapping machines, and forklifts

• Inspection or quality control background
