Operations Manager at Confidential – Cincinnati, Ohio

Location: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area

A growing organization in the distribution space is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse and distribution functions supporting a regional customer base. This leader will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing a multi-functional team, and ensuring seamless execution across shipping, receiving, and delivery operations.

This role reports to senior operations leadership and requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. The standard schedule is weekday-based, with flexibility required to support business needs. Approximately 5%-10% travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution logisticsManage and develop a team of 10+ employees across warehouse and delivery functionsEnsure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all inbound and outbound product movementDrive operational improvements related to productivity, cost control, and service levelsMaintain accountability for labor planning, scheduling, and performance managementOversee fleet coordination and ensure equipment readiness to support delivery operationsMonitor and maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling standardsPartner cross-functionally to support customer satisfaction and service excellenceUtilize data and reporting to inform decisions, track KPIs, and identify trendsSupport hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team membersMaintain accurate operational records, including inventory, labor, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

Minimum 4+ years of people management experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environmentStrong working knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving processesAdvanced Excel skills required (reporting, analysis, data tracking)Experience operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve performancePrior experience in Warehouse/Shipping and ReceivingStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
