Gate Shop Associate-No Weekends!! at Sharon Fence Company – Sharon, Pennsylvania

Position Overview

The Gate Shop Associate is responsible for building chain link gates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role focuses on efficiently producing quality gates while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Occasional support in the yard may be required.

Pay: $23.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities

Gate Fabrication (Primary)

• Assemble chain link gates to order specifications
• Stretch and secure chain link fabric onto gate frames
• Install hardware, including tension bars, bands, and fittings
• Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately
• Inspect finished gates to ensure quality, alignment, and durability

Shop Operations

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Properly use and care for tools and equipment
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required PPE

Yard Support (As Needed)

• Assist with loading and unloading materials
• Help stage and move finished gates
• Support general yard organization when required

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in a shop and an outdoor environment
• Basic measuring and tool skills
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Prior fabrication, fencing, or construction experience is a plus

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Full-time, with occasional overtime based on workload

Position Goal

Produce high-quality, properly assembled chain-link gates ready for delivery or customer pickup while supporting overall shop efficiency.
