Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research to analyze and interpret laws, regulations, precedents, and legal articles to assist clients in formulating legal strategies.
- Meet with clients to understand their legal needs and provide expert guidance, strategic solutions, and recommendations.
- Provide guidance on risk management and legal compliance issues for businesses.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other legal instruments.
- Represent clients before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and other legal proceedings, and present cases effectively.
- Negotiate settlements, agreements, and contracts on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Write business contracts, such as employment agreements, leases, and purchase/sale agreements.
- Analyze case law to develop arguments to support their client's position in court.
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Advise clients on the merits of their cases.
- Advocate for clients' rights and interests in legal proceedings and negotiations.
- Prepare for trials by researching statute precedents, developing legal strategies, and creating briefs.
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with laws.
- Verify sources of information to ensure legal accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal trends through ongoing legal education and research.
Job Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar membership in good standing in {State}.
- 3+ years of experience practicing law.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ethical conduct and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
