The Accountant will work under the direction of the Division Controller to maintain accurate financial records and perform in-depth analyses of balance sheets and general ledger accounts. This role will also support corporate, insurance, and pharmacy programs, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the month-end close process and provide support to various departments as needed.
• Collaborate with accounting specialists to prioritize and resolve issues effectively.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field preferred.
• Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Mathematical Skills: Strong proficiency in basic mathematics with a focus on accuracy.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of Policies: Familiarity with credit policies, accounting principles, and bookkeeping regulations, as well as strong knowledge of collection regulations and fair credit practices.
• Attention to Detail: Capable of performing repetitive tasks that require meticulous attention to detail.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of using office equipment (e.g., 10-key).
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex issues in a clear and non-emotional manner.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with team members and customers, while managing difficult conversations with empathy.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Skilled in interpreting statement activity to identify accounts at risk and assist in developing strategies to support timely payments.
