Job Summary: As a Summer Intern at Rensa Filtration, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that align with our company’s goals and provide hands-on learning experiences. Each intern will be assigned a manager at their specific place of work who will guide them, provide feedback, and ensure a valuable experience. You will connect with professionals across departments, attend team meetings, participate in cross-functional projects, and expand your network. At the end of the summer, you will have the chance to showcase what you’ve learned to the Rensa Senior Team through a brief presentation outlining your experiences and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- RPF Product Descriptions and Specifications
- Issue: The descriptions do not follow the general naming convention that was set by Custom Filter. When it was put into IFS, it was not changed. We now have parts without any description in IFS. No one can look at the description and tell if a physical part is a specific part number. In trying to find what the part is, a drawing is the most specific way to determine the fit or form of a part number. Many parts do not have a print.
- Determine and correct description for the RPF part numbers.
- Put the part description in IFS.
- Get the drawing and put it into the engineering and drawing file.
- If no print exists, make one and put it in the drawing file.

- Standard Work
- When making parts at Custom Filter, we design and document a process that is built around quality and safety. It is rather time-consuming and it must follow lean manufacturing rules to be viable. New parts that have been put into the system since the summer of 2025 have not been documented.
- Design the process for the required part number.
- Make video standard work for the process.
- Make the visual control for hour by hour analysis
- Make the layout of the cell area
- Give routing changes to the engineering department through our Red Pen change system
- Put all documents in the production folder for work orders.

- Collaborate with your assigned manager to receive guidance and feedback.
- Connect with professionals across various departments to gain a broad understanding of the company.
- Attend team meetings and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Expand your professional network within the company.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to the Rensa Senior Team at the end of the summer, outlining your experiences and insights.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field
- Strong interest in the air filtration industry and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
